Precipitation data is collected both manually and using the AWS. Rainfall is measured using a tipping bucket VP2 AWS. The buckets tip every 0.2mm and thus a rain total and rainfall rate can be recorded. Rainfall is also measured manually using a CoCoRaHs manual rain guage installed in the weather station enclosure. Snow fall and depth is recorded manually.
